Gift of Life!

 

What is life?

It is a gift! Gift that my parents have given to me. If they have not made love I could not have seen this world. This may sound crude but this is the fact. If my mother would not have conceived me for 9 months, I would not have seen this world. There were so many things that had to fall in place to ensure my birth. Not only that there are so many other things that had to fall in place for me to living and leading a life that I am living today!

Is any amount of gratitude or giving back will be sufficient to compensate to universe? Well I do not know the answer. What I know for sure is that mere consciousness of this fact that I am always indebted to this universe and keeping that humility within me is going to keep me up and running.

D&I | Learning from Cricket!

Something unique happened in Indian Cricket Team this week. Players played Paytm Series 5th match against New Zealand (on 29th Oct 2016) with their Mother's name inscribed on Jerseys. This was done consciously to recognize mother's effort in bringing them up & shaping them as Sports person.

In an interview prior to match Indian Skipper(MS Dhoni) said "We are quite used to having the surnames from the dad’s side. And, what’s important is to appreciate the stuff that mothers have done for us.”

Further he said “It’s a very emotional connect and it’s good that it’s put on a public platform. I would like to request the whole of India to keep this in mind and appreciate them everyday,”

He also emphasised that a mother's contribution is as important as of Soldiers to the Nation. This is the first time the Indian cricketers are wearing the jerseys with their mothers’ names.

In Organisations we often talk about building cultural sensitivity & increasing diverse mindset. I believe this initiative is great example to enhance Diversity & Inclusion culture in Corporates aswell.

Note: This Initiative is a brainchild of Star India aimed to highlight the importance of mothers in people's lives.

नीला रंग है...

आँखों का, जो सपने देखा करती हैं । 

झील का, जो प्यास बुझाया करती है ।

नील का, जो चमक उजागर करती है ।

युनान का, जहाँ शहरों में रौनक बसती है ।

आसमान का, जो ऊँचा सोचने को प्रेरित करता है । 

दर्द का, जो सहनशक्ति इस्त्रोत करता है । 

फ़ूलो का, जो सुगंध का उन्माद कराते है । 

नीलम का, जो भाग्य बनाया करता है । 

अशोकचक्र का, जो धर्म का प्रतीक है । 

पृथ्वी का, जो भ्रमांड में चमकती है । 

स्याही का, जिसपे यह कलम चला करती है ।

क्या होली, क्या दिवाली !

बचपन में अक्सर सोचा करता था,

क्यूँ बड़े लोगों को होली का शौक़ नहीं होता ?

क्यूँ दिवाली पर इनका पठाके चलाने का दिल नहीं होता ?

जी भर कर कभी ये क्यूँ न खिलखिलाते ?

आज उन सवालों का  जवाब नज़र आता है |

 इस विडम्बना पर मेरा मन मुस्कुराता है |

होली दिवाली तो अब रोज़ माना करती है |

रंगते-रंगाते हम रोज़ बाज़ारों में नज़र आते हैं |

पठाके हर दिन अब घरों में बजा करते हैं |

मिल कर न हस कर, हम एक-दूजे पर हस्ते हैं |

ख़ुशी की जगह दुसरे का दर्द ढूंढते हैं |

यह सब सोच कर बस एक ख्याल आता है ,

बचपन कि मासूम यादों को ताज़ा कर जाता है |
काश हम इंसान को इंसान समझ पते,

और अपने बचपन से कुछ सीख पते |

Love Chemistry : Why not Love Physics?

I wonder why the word "Love" goes hand in hand with word "Chemistry" and makes it "Love Chemistry". I mean why not "Love Physics" or "Love Mathematics"? Well answer lies in subject "Chemistry" itself. Physics & Mathematics are rational subjects which work on logic with no exceptions and no deviations to the universal principles. "0" is refereed as absolute truth in the world! Guess what can be more boring then that!

However in case of Chemistry, the approach is little different. We get results and then we infer why it happened & how it happened. We force fit rational after event has happened just to ensure that we being Human Beings and master of all, sit on top of it!  Nevertheless Chemistry has its own way of functioning. If you look at Organic chemistry it’s nothing but full of exceptions. After every two pages of reading you will come across a colored box which will be talking about a great exception. Being a scholar I could never understand that why it doesn't follow a rational path!

Well today I can get some clarity on it. When I know that those rationales are written with retrospective effect to ensure learning curve, to explain things that cannot be understood otherwise. 

This applies very much for a beautiful word call "Love". You first fall in it and by the time you realize it has already happened to you. You do n number of things to rationalize, give logics, discuss debate with friends without even realizing that it is something which was beyond your control and it has happened to you as it just meant for you. It’s an experience. It is strongly recommended not to rationalize or analyses but to enjoy this experience. Because any which ways you will get ample time to do analysis and paralysis as soon as it dries out! Don get worried it dries out just to take you to a greater height in next leap! And the curve goes on!

So coming back to the subject, if Love has to related to anything than it can only be Chemistry. And there can never be Love physics or Love Maths! It can only be Chemistry. As its wage, its haze, its in grey, its unexplainable and its beyond basket of rational thoughts. It fuels the emotions, give you sleepless nights, makes you happy or sad for no reason and leaves you with so many questions day in and day out! And these questions are manifestation of it being irrational…..
